09.16.2009Oregon Chai’s “What’s Your Nirvana?” Recipe Contest

There is a recipe contest taking place that is enlisting chai lovers to share all things chai including great recipes.  Sponsored by Oregon Chai, the leading chai brand in the nation, the recipe contest “What’s Your Nirvana?” seeks to discover which delicacies are most enjoyed alongside a steaming mug, or ice cold Oregon Chai. Teaming up with The Satellite Sisters, entries may be submitted online. Each week in June and July three winners will be selected.

“Whether you love to drink Oregon Chai with a warm blueberry muffin, a cranberry scone or a hazelnut brownie, we want to hear about it,” said John Tuerff, director of marketing for Oregon Chai.  “We have very passionate fans and we look at this as a fun way to connect with them and find out what they think goes best with Oregon Chai.” Oregon Chai tea lattes can be enjoyed hot or cold, but always feature delicious black tea, honey, vanilla and other spices.

SATELLITE SISTERS
This is the second summer in which Oregon Chai has successfully run contests with the help of The Satellite Sisters. Both hailing from Oregon, the two entities are a natural fit. Satellite Sisters is a talk show that brings together five real sisters, a wide range of topics and adult women all over the country who listen to them because they recognize in the show the sound the sisters have always set out to create:  the sound of friendship.

Now one of the most downloaded talk shows for women on iTunes, Satellite Sisters has built its loyal following through years on public and talk radio, as columnists in O, The Oprah Magazine and Working Mother Magazine, creators of the successful website www.satellitesisters.com and its blog SisterSpot.

PRIZING
The prize? A variety of Oregon Chai’s most popular chai beverages. In addition to the weekly winners, a Grand Prize winner will be drawn at the end of the contest from all the weekly winners and will be awarded a deluxe gift basket of Oregon Chai and Satellite Sisters goodies, including a Satellite Sisters t-shirt and mug, a copy of Satellite Sisters Uncommon Senses and a selection of Oregon Chai’s yummiest beverages.

TO ENTER
Participants may enter as many recipes as they’d like. By sending their recipe they are granting permission for it to be posted on the Satellite Sisters blog and the Oregon Chai website, blog, Facebook, Myspace and Twitter pages.
